U.S. actor Bubba Smith famous for his role in Police Academy died yesterday in Los Angeles at age 66.
Bubba Smith, best known for his role as Moses Hightower in the Police Academy series, died in Los Angeles at age 66 of natural causes according to the Hollywood Reporter. Former American football player (he played defense for the Baltimore Colts), Bubba Smith had made a conversion in the film and television in the late 70's. After a few appearances on TV shows like Eight is enough, Vegas or Charlie's Angels, he landed the role of Sergeant Hightower in the Police Academy series. For 6 episodes, Bubba Smith is going to play the cop in these fun and balèze nanar eighties. It will also be a mainstay of the series Blue Thunder, from the eponymous film by John Badham.
