Jo-Wilfried Tsonga vs Denis Istomin 14 june 2011

Tsonga its momentum

Tuesday, June 14 (16:00): Jo-Wilfried Tsonga - Denis Istomin

Jo-Wilfried Tsonga (ATP 19) was full of confidence. Finalist at Queen's after beating Rafael Nadal in the quarters, Manceau seems very close to his best level. Although ultimately defeated by Andy Murray in three sets, Tsonga has not fallen and did not go far to afford a prestigious membership. A week of Wimbledon, his attacking game has impressed and will once again his favorite weapon in this tournament in Eastbourne.

Denis Istomin (ATP 61) is in doubt. Winner of only five games in 2011, the Uzbek was very difficult to confirm his good 2010 season that saw him finish in 40th place worldwide. Beaten eight times in the first round of a tournament this season, his bad run has a great chance to continue to face a Tsonga Eastbourne in great shape.

Winner of their only confrontation, "Jo-Wil" heavily favored by the meeting. If he has physically recovered from his final Queen's shifted to Monday, he should not face too many problems to get through this round.
