The critical illness insurance CoverMe offers extra help and you can alleviate financial worries when you need it most. The plan covers five conditions or diseases:
* Cancer
Diagnosis of leukemia, Hodgkin's disease, a non-Hodgkin lymphoma or other tumor characterized by the growth and spread uncontrolled malignant cells and tissue invasion.
* Heart Attack
Myocardial infarction. Necrosis of a portion of heart muscle due to inadequate intake of blood to the relevant region, the diagnosis must be based on new ECG changes made by the development of Q waves or ST-segment elevation previously unrecognized and the elevation of cardiac biochemical markers to levels characteristic of a heart attack.
* Stroke
Diagnosis of a stroke resulting in neurological sequelae lasting more than 30 days and caused by thrombosis or intracranial hemorrhage or embolism extracranial source. There must be a manifestation of a neurological deficit objectively measurable and lasting longer than 30 days.
* CABG
Cardiochirurgicale intervention by a physician to bypass narrowed or blocked portions of one or more coronary arteries using vein grafts.
* Aortic surgery
Surgery performed by a physician for a disease of the thoracic aorta or abdominal requiring excision and surgical replacement of the diseased aorta with a graft.
